celebrated his 23rd at Sun with Moon!
we were seated at this lovely corner with cushiony seats and translucent curtains for privacy..
the food was quite awesome too! :)
he looks perpetually drunk.. i don't know why.. :S
he kept bugging me to let him see his present..
and he was pleasantly surprised that the British India bag actually contained a Birkenstock box! (he thought i bought him some British India jacket.. like seriously.. :|)

the sashimi was really fresh..
now this was probably the best dish of the day.. grilled scallops with spicy cream sauce.. my photography skills (of lack of it) do it no justice but it was really damn good..
he is such an ah beng..
our main course - kamameshi.. quite a let down i must say.. especially after the awesome starters that we had..
joe had unagi with clams..
and i had grilled pork.. i think we spent half the time picking out the pickles and ginger slices.. haha..
we were still hungry after the unsatisfying kamameshi so we order grilled black pepper pork cheek slices..
glad to say it pulled the standard right back up again!
"surprised" joe with a piece of tofu cheese cake as his birthday cake!
it was not much of a surprise really cos the waitress reminded joe that they still haven't served the cheesecake when i was in the TOILET! :S
anyhow.. when the cake arrived.. i was quite sian to see how small it was..
i mean.. just look at it..
but thankfully it tastes much better than it looks!
