angst-ing

this afternoon, while in the car:

dad: i saw brenda this morning walking to the mrt station

me (thinking that he was going to ask me why can't i do the same): that's cos her dad is in korea wat so no one fetch her to the mrt!

dad: no.. i wanted to say that she's wearing green and was wondering how come you..

me (cuts in thinking that he wants to jack me about my lack of variety in office wear): that's because you refuse to buy me more office wear cos u say it's expensive and i won't need to wear it often and therefore i don't need so many office clothes!

dad: er.. i was going to ask how come she doesn't need to wear the uniform (black and white) but u have to..

me: oh. *pause* (starts getting defensive.) that's cos she's in corporate so don't need to wear black and white! i'm in corporate too but because u refuse to buy me more variety of work wear that's why i still wear black and white even though i don't have to! *sulks*

dad: i only ask how come she can wear other colours you don't need to say so much right..

i think that i'm still feeling lotsa angst against my dad for many reasons which i'm sure most of you would know and therefore my fuse has been rather short when talking to him..
